Alison Krauss

Alison Krauss was born July 23, 1971, in Decatur, Illinois. LeAnn Kymes and Krauss, were among the youngest Grammy Award-winners. Alison Maria Krauss, born 23rd July 1971, is an American musician and singer. Alison Maria Krauss started her music career early and was a winner of local contests by the age of 10. Her first recording was her first time at age fourteen. She was signed in 1985 by Rounder Records. Her first solo album debuted in 1987. She was asked to join the band with which she still performs Alison Krauss and Union Station and later released her first album with them as a group in 1989.
