LeBron Raymone James Sr. is an American basketball professional who plays for the Los Angeles Lakers in the National Basketball Association. Nicknamed King James he is widely thought of as one of the most successful players of all time and is frequently compared to Michael Jordan in debates over the greatest basketball player in history. James was awarded four NBA championships, four NBA MVPs Three All-Star MVPs, along with 2 Olympic medals. James has the highest points during the playoffs, and has the second highest number of career points and has the seventh most career assists. Alongside being an NBA All-Star, James was chosen to an NBA All-NBA Team on 18 occasions. He was the 3rd player to participate in NBA Finals. Eight of these were consecutive between 2011 through 2018. James was picked as a part of the NHL75th Anniversary Team. And in 2022, he became only the third NBA player in history to earn more than 10,000 career points. James played basketball during his time at St. Vincent St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron Ohio and was heavily advertised by national media as a potential NBA superstar. He was a pre-profession player and picked to the Cleveland Cavaliers with the first overall pick in the 2003 NBA draft. Following his selection as 2004's NBA Rookie of the Year, he soon established himself as a premier player in the NBA winning the NBA's MVP Award both in 2009 and 2010 James signed for the Miami Heat in 2010 when the team became a free agent after not achieving a Championship with Cleveland.
