Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to her irresistible electronic pop tunes "Starry Eyed" as well as Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. With her unique soprano warble and knack for writing catchy yet emotionally earnest songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap, stands at the forefront of modern mainstream music as well as an independent, artistic pop.Goulding soon graduated from blogging to printed media, receiving the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record companies. Polydor Records offered her a contract as major label. She began to prepare for the release.
