BellamyBellamy Young was born Amy Maria Young in the month of February, 1970."1" She's an American actor, singer, producer, and actor who is best known for her character on the show Melody "Mellie," Grant on ABC's Scandal from 2012 to 2018. Her performance was so successful that she got the Critics' choice Television Award for the Most Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2014. In 2019, she starred as Prodigal Son on Fox. Young started her career as an actor in theatre. Her Broadway debut on stage in 1997 in the role of Mary in The Life's initial cast. In addition, she has performed Off-Broadway in Stephensondheim's Musical Merrily We're Rolling Along (1994) as well as in Randy Newman's Faust (1995-1996). 3][10] She made her debut on television in the year 1995 when she played her character, Dr. Courtney Evans, in an ongoing role in the NBC soap show Another World. She was a part of two seasons in the show Law & Order, 1997 and 1998. The year 1999 saw her debut in film with tiny roles in the crime-drama Black and White and later co-starred in several independent films. Beginning in 2000, she was spotted in guest-starring in a variety of comedy and drama shows on television, such as The Drew Carey Show, The X Files, ER, Frasier, The West Wing, NCIS, Medium, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Two and a Half Men, Supernatural, Drop Dead Diva, and Castle. Young has made more than 30 appearances on TV series between 2000 and 2011.
